Experience College Life

Project Uplift, a special program that enables high-achieving rising seniors to experience college life on the Carolina campus, is currently accepting applications for the summer 2010 session. If you rank in the top 25% of their class, be enrolled in a curriculum that includes AP course(s), foreign language, and advanced mathematics, and show active involvement in extracurricular and leadership activities please see Ms. Alston in the Counseling Center for more information and applications.

ACT Test postponed

The ACT scheduled for 2/5/10 at Western High School has been postponed until 2/13/10. All admission tickets with the original date of 2/5/10 will be accepted for the 2/13/10 date.

Spring Sports

Spring sports start on Monday February 15th.  If you are interested in trying out please see the coach of the sport you want to tryout.  A completed physical must be on file before participating.  You must also be eligible by passing at least 3 courses last semester and not missing more than 13 days last semester.

Meet the Warriors night
Meet the Warriors night to honor our athletes will be at 6:00pm on February 22nd.
Face-to-Face
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the Face-to-Face night on February 25th from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Meet your son's and daughter's teachers!
Parking Concerns
Numerous announcements have been made giving opportunity to purchase a parking permit.

If there is an extenuating circumstance that requires you to drive to school, and you do not have a permit, you may be issued a day pass if you make arrangements through Mr. Hancock, Assistant Principal, before 8:10am on the morning that you must drive to school.
